SMC Participation as Sponsor | Spring Reception in Singapore
As part of its commitment to international collaboration and global ready talent development, SMC is honoured to support the Spring Reception in Singapore on 19 February, jointly organised by the China Singapore Chamber of Commerce, China Enterprises Association (Singapore), and SingCham Alumni.
Diplomatic envoys and government officials from both Singapore and China, representatives of Singapore enterprises operating in China and Chinese enterprises based in Singapore, as well as delegates from various community organisations, institutions, industry associations, and members of Singapore’s business community gathered to exchange Lunar New Year greetings and celebrate the Year of the Horse together. The event was filled with a festive, warm, and harmonious atmosphere.
As an institutional sponsor, SMC values this reception as an important platform for cross-border professional exchange, bringing together individuals who have studied, worked, or continue to engage professionally with China, alongside members of the Chinese business community based in Singapore. Such platforms play a meaningful role in strengthening bilateral understanding and long-term people-to-people connections.
This year, SMC was pleased to invite representative SMC mentors to participate in the reception and engage with the wider business community. In addition, SMC underscored the importance of student participation and the involvement of Youth Leadership Committee members, inviting them to engage alongside SMC mentors and the wider business community. Their involvement provided valuable experiential learning opportunities through cross-cultural and cross-sector interaction, fostered intergenerational dialogue, and reinforced the role of mentorship in talent development.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the organisers for their invitation and trust, and to all mentors, Youth Leadership Committee members, and student volunteers, whose participation, feedback, and leadership initiatives helped shape SMC’s Global Ready talent development and engagement framework.
