On October 7, 2025, the inaugural SMU-SMC Becoming Global Ready Symposium was successfully convened, bringing together a diverse community of policymakers, ambassadors, business leaders, educators, and students in a shared exploration of what it means to be truly global-ready—in mindset, capability, and action.

 

The event also marked the official launch of Becoming Global Ready, a collaborative book authored by 10 leaders from 8 cultures and countries, offering personal insights on leadership, mentorship, and lifelong learning across borders.

In January, we are proud to extend this impact further with the launch of the digital edition of Becoming Global Ready, which will be made available for free download to all parents and youth in Singapore and across the world, ensuring broader access to the ideas and perspectives shared through this collective work.
