Singapore Mentorship Committee Participates in the 55th St. Gallen Symposium 2026

The Singapore Mentorship Committee (SMC) announced its participation in the 55th St. Gallen Symposium, held from 6–7 May 2026, reaffirming its commitment to advancing global-ready leadership, intergenerational dialogue, and cross-cultural collaboration in an increasingly disrupted and fast-changing world.
SMC has been part of the St. Gallen Symposium community since 2022 through a formal collaboration and shared engagement platform connecting current and emerging leaders across industries, academia, public policy, and youth communities. The continued participation reflects a shared belief in the importance of long-term leadership thinking, open dialogue across generations, and international cooperation.
The 2026 symposium is held under the theme “Disrupted Age,” examining how societies, institutions, and businesses respond to accelerating disruption driven by artificial intelligence, geopolitical uncertainty, demographic change, sustainability pressures, and the evolving expectations placed on leadership and governance. The symposium convenes global policymakers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, and youth representatives from more than 90 countries to exchange perspectives on the future of economies, technology, healthcare, education, trust, and international collaboration.
Singapore continues to play an active role within the St. Gallen Symposium platform through the participation of senior national leaders, policymakers, and institutional representatives. Over the years, Singapore representatives including Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Teo Chee Hean, Heng Swee Keat, Lawrence Wong, Chan Chun Sing and Desmond Lee have contributed perspectives on governance, resilience, innovation, sustainability, economic transformation, and Singapore’s approach toward navigating disruption in a rapidly evolving global environment.
At the 55th St. Gallen Symposium in 2026, Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development of Singapore, participated in discussions including “Strengthening Families and Social Cohesion in Singapore” and “World Economy under Construction – Stability, Demographic Change, and Inclusive Growth.” These sessions explored the role of leadership, family systems, demographic transitions, and inclusive policy design in strengthening long-term societal resilience amid global uncertainty.
As part of this year’s engagement, SMC joins global participants in contributing perspectives on youth development, mentorship, leadership transformation, and the importance of building globally connected and future-ready communities. The participation also reflects Singapore’s growing role as a convening platform connecting Asia with international leadership ecosystems.
Founded in Singapore, SMC is a volunteer-driven intergenerational platform focused on developing “Global-Ready” youth and leadership ecosystems through mentorship, experiential learning, and international dialogue. Through initiatives including the SMC Youth Hiking Library (SYHL), the Global-Ready Mentorship Programme (GRMP), university partnerships, and international collaborations, SMC continues to strengthen bridges between current leaders and the next generation.
